ANOTHER BIG WEEKEND FOR INCLUDE: OPEN WATER TAKES THE GRADE II MARJORIE L. EVERETT HANDICAP; TWO OTHER STAKES HORSES

A year ago, it was Include’s distaff star Include Me Out who took the first running of the Grade II Marjorie L. Everett Handicap following its name change from the Milady Stakes. Following this year’s running, there are still only Include fillies’ names on the newly minted trophy. Include’s Open Water, already Grade I placed, added her first graded tally with an impressive win in Saturday’s feature at Hollywood Park. She will continue to be pointed to the West Coast’s top races for older fillies and mares and continues to build on her sire’s momentum that has made him a Top 25 general sire for each of the last two years.

Open Water’s big win came on the same weekend that Include’s very talented 3-year-old filly Summer of Fun came up an unlucky 2nd, beaten just a nose, in Pimlico’s $100,000 Hilltop Stakes, while the up and coming Broomsage earned her first black-type win on the board in the Our Mims Stakes at Delaware Park in her first attempt against stakes company.

Congratulations to all the connections of these talented Includes!
