TIM THORNTON
General Manager
A hands on horseman since childhood, Tim manages the day-to-day operations over Airdrie’s six farm divisions. Tim is responsible for overseeing the highest standards of horsemanship from our stallion operation to the preparation of yearlings to daily mare and foal care, ensuring the maintenance of a quality operation.
Born and raised in Bourbon County, Kentucky, on his father’s farm, Threave Main Stud, Tim joined Airdrie Stud as General Manager in 1988.

MARK CUNNINGHAM
Farm Manager
Mark came to Airdrie in 1980 from Australia with a degree in Agriculture from the University of Adelaide. Supervising all aspects of broodmare care and daily vet rounds, he works closely with Dr. Ben Stivers of HDM in ensuring optimum herd health.

Ben brings over Twelve years of international experience in the Thoroughbred industry, he has worked on some of the leading farms in Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand and the United States. Ben is involved on all levels of the Stallion Operation.

BRET JONES
Bloodstock Services
A 2004 graduate of The University of the South (Sewanee) and an award-winning graduate of the famed Irish National Stud breeding course in 2005, Bret has been a full time employee at Airdrie Stud for the last five years. Involved in all aspects of Airdrie’s bloodstock services, from choosing matings to selling seasons and new stallion recruitment, Bret is also at the forefront of the Airdrie sales team and oversees the farm’s various advertising campaigns online and in print. A steering committee member of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association’s 2020 Campaign- a group developed to educate and give a voice to racing’s under 40 generation- Bret takes pride in building an honest personal reputation while working hard to continue Airdrie’s tradition of top class production.

CATHERINE FRUTH
Sales Coordinator
Catherine has been with the Airdrie sales team for many years and joined the office staff full time in 2003. Her horsemanship, attention to detail, and customer knowledge base are essential elements for Airdrie's presentation of yearlings/weanlings at the major public auctions.

NIKI FOUGERE
Executive Secretary to Governor Jones
Niki is also responsible for Human Resources, Accounts Receivable, and Horse Health records. Niki has been with Airdrie for over ten years and worn many hats in that time. A hard worker putting in many hours Niki is our fabulous “go-to” person ready to help solve any problem.

LAURA SULLIVAN
Equine Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist
Quite possibly the busiest member of the Airdrie stallion administration and sales team. Laura keeps the office operating smoothly and has the perfect personality for multitasking and staying upbeat.

SARAH PIERCE
Business Manager
Sarah has been a pillar of the Airdrie team for over 15 years. She handles all facets of our stallion and syndicate administration involving over 1000 season contracts and mare bookings each breeding season for Airdrie’s busy roster of a dozen stallions.

MARSHA SENATORE
Bookkeeper
A member of the Airdrie team since 2002. Marsha is vital cog for each day, month and quarter that passes - keeping our bills paid, our books balanced, and our customers happy.

CHRISTIAN FISHER
Controller/Accountant
The newest member of the Airdrie team Christian is responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting, and Taxes.

NANCY CLINE
Executive Secretary to Elizabeth Jones
Nancy joins us in the Airdrie office to handle all important matters other than horses for the Jones family. Please contact Nancy if you need to reach Mrs. Jones for any kind of appointments or matters pertaining to The Kentucky Historical Society, The American Farmland Trust, The PACE board, The Blue Grass Conservancy, etc.
